Bio

Neal Hope is a Barbadian cinematographer and filmmaker with a Bachelor's degree in Motion Picture Arts from Capilano University.

His work spans narrative films, documentaries, commercials, and branded content, with credits that include productions for BET, CBC Canada, Channel 4 UK, as well as a range of independent documentaries and commercial campaigns. As a certified electrician who completed the IATSE 891 Light Tech program, Neal brings a strong technical understanding of lighting that complements his visual approach to cinematography.

Believing that filmmaking is built on collaboration, Neal is passionate about developing strong crews, fostering creative partnerships, and remaining a lifelong student of the craft.

At the heart of his work is a commitment to preserving Caribbean oral history through film. His long-term vision is to help grow a sustainable film industry in Barbados by connecting Global film communities, creating opportunities for local filmmakers, and bringing authentic Caribbean stories to the screen.

Neal is also a proud student member of the Canadian Society of Cinematographers (CSC).
